Configuring Distributed Erlang Systems with WombatOAM

WombatOAM is part of all of ESL's support offerings (Erlang, Riak, MongooseIM, RabbitMQ), will save hundreds of person hours in troubleshooting costs once deployed. It is a product Erlang Solutions has been working on for three years, originally the result of a STREP FP7 funded project. It is the only OAM tool providing the Erlang specific view of the system and taking advantage of Erlang's programming model.

ESL wants to satisfy the customers needs by introducing the Erlang specific configuration management feature in WombatOAM. ESL expects the ability to manage configuration management in an innovative way to allow ESL to double its sales of WombatOAM in the 12 months which follow the deployment of the functionality. ESL expects this as an enabler to initiate conversations with enterprise customers who are running thousands of nodes in production.

WombatOAM leverages Antidote to ensure availability and consistency.  An administrator can make several related configuration changes.  Even if some machines are not available at the time, WombatOAM will install the changes on all machines, in a transactional and consistent manner when they reconnect.
